I considered becoming monk once: Russell Brand

Funnyman Russell Brand seriously thought about becoming a monk following his split from Katy Perry.

The 38-year-old comedian, who was married to the brunette beauty for 14 months until December 2011, said he considered becoming one of the religious figures, who live alone or with other monks, reported Contactmusic.

"When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk. When you're a monk, you're not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you're married, it's one person. That's one more than a monk. It's not that different," he said.
