I-T raids at textile company offices

Income Tax department sleuths today carried out raids at 17 premises of a textile company here, officials said today.

A senior I-T department official said that the raids had been conducted at several offices of the SEL Group as also at the residences of the firm's directors.

"Raids were conducted at SEL Group's Ludhiana, Bhopal, Baddi (HP), Nawanshahar and Doraha offices and also at the houses of the directors and some other officials of the company," said Director I-T (investigations), Harjit Singh Sohi.

SEL Group is a Ludhiana-based textile and yarn manufacturing company.
