I-T raids on freight firm

Income-Tax officials today conducted searches at the offices of a private company involved in air and sea freight and transportation in the city.

The searches were conducted in 15 premises in the city as part of a nation-wide operation, I-T officials said.

The searches by 45 teams commenced around 8 AM this morning. However, they remained tight lipped on whether any documents were seized during the searches.
