IAF men's baggage shifted to train luggage van on suspicion it

A sealed luggage being carried by two personnel of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the passenger coach of a train was shifted to the luggage van today after a person complained to police that it contained explosives.

"Two IAF personnel were carrying the luggage in an AC coach of Bareilly-Bhuj Express. It was supposed to be in the luggage van," Jagdish Sharma, SHO of Government Railway Police Alwar said.

"An Army officer, who was travelling in the same coach, informed police about it, following which the coach was searched at Alwar railway station," the SHO said.

Credentials of the air force personnel were verified and after speaking to senior IAF officers, the baggage was shifted to the luggage van and the train left after a delay of one hour and 15 minutes, he said.
