IED detected in Manipur, detonated safely

Security forces on Thursday detected an improvised explosive device (IED) while patrolling at Khongampat area in Imphal East district, officials said.

Experts of the bomb squad cordoned off the area and detonated the IED at a safe place, they said.

"The IED which weighed around 1 kg was discovered around 10.30 am," an official added.
