IGNOU signs MoU with IGNCA for research projects

IGNOU today signed an MoU with Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA) for various purposes including exchange in faculty research, collaborative research projects and student programmes.

The agreement will enable IGNOU access IGNCA library and archival resources and vice-versa.

"The aim is to offer credit/non credit courses to students in various fields such as Sanskrit, vedic studies, translation studies, manuscriptology, oral traditions, folklore, traditional knowledge system, performing arts and storytelling traditions," IGNOU VC Ravindra Kumar said in a release.

Both the institutions are trying to contribute to the promotion of Indian culture and traditional arts among the youth, the release said.
 

"Our student enrolment figure has crossed 3 billion, and the annual intake is about 10 lakh," the VC added.
