Indian junior women's hockey team pipped Great Britain 1-0 in its second match to continue its unbeaten run at the U-23 six-nation tournament here today.

In its first match, India had beaten Ireland 4-1.

The Indians displayed strong defence to keep Great Britain at bay.

India attacked with vision to create chances through penalty corners and from one of those Sangita Kumari scored to hand her side the winner.

Though the Indians earned few more penalty corners towards the end of the game, they could not convert but did enough to hold on to the slender lead.

Indian women next play hosts Belgium tomorrow.
