Indicators suggesting economic slowdown are a cause for worry, Shiv Sena deputy leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said on Friday and called for ideas to overcome the situation.
"Indicators suggesting economic slowdown are a cause for worry but rather than the mocking tweets & the I told you so type of self appreciation tweets coming from some, wouldn't it be wiser to suggest ideas?" Chaturvedi tweeted.
"Is the intent to move ahead as a nation or mocking the sole agenda?" Chaturvedi, whose party shares power with the BJP in Maharashtra and the Centre, added.
The Sena functionary's comments came a day after Niti Aayog Vice-Chairman Rajiv Kumar said the ongoing financial crisis in India is "unprecedented".
He had also said the government must take steps to handle the ongoing economic slowdown. India was facing such an economic downturn for the first time in 70 years, he had said.
