In a restricted activity, both castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices recovered modestly at the oils and oilseeds market here today on mild demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
In the futures market, castorseeds edged up slightly on stray export enquiries.
Meanwhile, there were no trading witnessed in groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseed oil.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold gained by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,600 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,575 and castoroil commercial also moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 750 from Rs 745.
Turning to futures, castorseed March contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,789 and moved in a range of Rs 3,789 and Rs 3,765 before settling at Rs 3,777 from Rs 3,776 yesterday, showing a mere gain of a rupee per tonne.
