Inmate commits suicide by hanging from tree

An inmate allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in the jail premises here today.

The victim, Mukesh, was brought to Chaudhary Charan Singh district jail 15 days ago for being involved in a kidnapping case, police said.

The body of the inmate was found hanging from a tree in the jail premises today, they said.

The body has been sent for post mortem, police added.
