Inter-state robbers' gang busted, one arrested from Jharkhand

Rajasthan police busted an inter-state gang of robbers after arresting one of its members from Jharkhand, an official said today.

Harun Sheikh (20) was arrested by a team of Jaipur police from his village Piyarpur in Sahebganj district of Jharkhand after a burglary in a house here on Diwali night last year, he said.

During interrogation, police found it was an inter-state gang of burglars active in Jharkhand touching West Bengal border along the river Ganga.

The accused admitted that his gang was involved in many thefts and burglaries in parts of Rajasthan, according to DCP (North) Ashok Kumar Gupta.
