Kochi will host a four-day International Congress of the Asia Oceania Thyroid Association (AOTA) be held, for the first time in the country, from September 25.
The 11th Congress will attract faculty and delegates from various countries, including China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and other South East Asian and Gulf nations besides India, a statement from the organisers said here.
This was the first time an international congress on thyroid was being hosted by India, the organisers said.
A pre-congress one day hands-on workshop on Thyroid ultrasonography would be conducted at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences on September 25.
