Investigation in corruption cases within 15 days: Gogoi

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today directed concerned departments to initiate investigations in corruption cases within 15 days.

The Chief Minister, in a statement issued here, said he has taken serious note of corruption related cases reported in a section of the media and also those reported from other sources.

He issued directions to the concerned departments to inquire into cases thoroughly and to initiate investigation within 15 days.

"The allegations of corruption will be probed thoroughly and appropriate action taken against those found guilty," he added.

Gogoi said members of the public could also lodge complaints relating to corruption.
