The 102nd Indian Science Congress, hosted by the University of Mumbai, saw cancellation of a symposium on 'Employment of Technologies for Counter Terrorism Operations' on the last day today as the convener and five speakers failed to turn up.
Of the 56 sessions in the five-day meet, this was the only session that did not take place.
Mridul Nile, coordinator for the session and director Students Welfare, University of Mumbai, said all the participants for the symposium were from the Delhi-based Center for Joint Welfare Studies (CJWS).
The speakers may have been unable to reach after cancellation of flights due to foggy conditions, he said.
