ITBP jawan held on charges of raping girl

An ITBP jawan allegedly made an obscene MMS of a girl and raped her after threatening to make the clip public if she resisted, police said today.

The jawan was arrested from Pauri bus stand late last evening on the basis of an FIR lodged in this connection by the victim who is a student, they said.

The girl, who lived as a tenant in the jawan's house in Shrinagar Garhwal, has accused him of raping her twice on September six and September 13, police said.

The jawan threatened to make public the obscene MMS clip he had made of her secretly if she resisted the rape attempt, the FIR said.
