Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested a man, who had been booked in a rash driving case and absconding for the past eight years in Poonch district.
In a sustained drive launched to nab absconders, state police today arrested Mohd Aziz of Gursai Mendhar in Poonch district, a police official said.
A case under IPC sections of 279, 337, 338 RPC was registered at Poonch police station, he said, adding that the accused was evading his arrest since more than eight years.
Aziz was booked for rash driving, endangering life of passengers and causing injuries to people in a mishap, police said.
The accused was produced in the court of law, they added.
