Taking serious note of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) premises here not having basic amenities, Jharkhand High Court today directed to put on hold the salary of Union secretary of Departments of Personnel and Training.
Hearing a PIL filed by social activist Anjan Kumar Khan, the division bench of acting Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice S Chandrasekhar observed that the Union Secretary of Personnel and Training departments was not taking the matter seriously.
The bench directed the registrar of the court to inform the court's decision to the Union Cabinet secretary.

Observing on the petitioner's complaint that there are no basic amenities like toilets for lady advocates or lady clients in the CAT premises, the court said basic things like toilets and drinking water should be provided immediately.
The court fixed September 23 to hear the case.
