J R Ramirez cast in 'Jessica Jones' season 2

"Arrow" actor J R Ramirez has come on board the second season of Marvel's "Jessica Jones".

The 36-year-old star will be a series regular on the show and will play Oscar, a devoted single father who moves into Jessica's (played by Krysten Ritter) building as the new superintendent, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"J R is an incredible addition to our cast, bringing complex and subtle emotion and humour. He exudes warmth, edge and intelligence, and blends perfectly with our tone," said executive producer Melissa Rosenberg.

"Jessica Jones" is expected to return next year.
