TV star Jack Osbourne and his wife Lisa Stelly have confirmed they have lost the baby boy they were expecting after she suffered a late term miscarriage.
The couple announced the sad news in a blog post, admitting they had been 'dreading' making the news public after losing the baby last week, reported Daily Mirror.
"I have been dreading this announcement. I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time," Stelly posted on her blog.
Despite the tragic news, the couple, who already have a 17-month daughter, Pearl, are trying to remain positive.
"It is important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life's toughest moments. We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives."
Osbourne and Stelly, both 27, married in October, 2012 and announced that they were expecting their second child last month.
