Wife of the senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley today visited the Khalsa College here and praised the history and culture of the Sikhs.
Sangeeta Jaitley, on a personal visit to the city along with some of her friends, landed at the college this morning where she was welcomed by its governing council honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and principal Dr Daljit Singh.
"It is great to be here at this historical institution that stands tall to the rich Punjabi culture and history. I had long cherished wish to visit the College," she told reporters here.
Later, she also paid obeisance at the Golden Temple and visited the Wagha retreat at the border before she flew back to Delhi.
