Janata Dal (Secular) to contest 11 Maharashtra Lok Sabha seats

Janata Dal (Secular) plans to contest 11 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.

A decision to this effect was taken at a recent meeting of office bearers and senior leaders, including the party's state unit chief Sharad Patil.

Party sources said deliberations at the meeting revolved around the political situation in the state and the prospects of the party in different constituencies.

"After the feedback received, we have decided to contest Amravati, Jalna, Rajapur, Osmanabad, Hingoli, North East Mumbai, North West Mumbai, Shirur, Sangli, Hatkanangale and Palghar," party sources said.
