Jaypee Group offers to cleanse Yamuna river

Diversified Jaypee Group today pledged to cleanse the Yamuna river of filth and effluents provided given a free hand.

"I can purge the Yamuna river of its filth and effluents and garbage provided given a free hand latest by 2020," said Jaypee Group founder-chairman Jaiprakash Gaur at a PHD Chamber event here.

"Authorities need to shed their hypocrisies in executing public policies and allow industries a free hand to undertake a public cause such as cleansing the river Yamuna which can be done within a time span of five years with a transformational approach", Gaur added.
