An assistant city planner with Jaipur Development Authority was caught red-handed by Anti- Corruption Bureau sleuths here while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The accused, identified as one Sohanlal Verma, is alleged to have demanded the bribe from a contractor for approving the extension of civil works in the Officers' Campus expansion scheme, an ACB official today said.
A trap was laid and the accused was arrested from his residence yesterday in the Malviya Nagar area, the official said, adding that a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been lodged in this regard.
