Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges is not happy with the way "R.I.P.D." turned out finally.

Bridges and Ryan Reynolds played law enforcement officials in the screen adaptation of 'Dark Horse' comic book by Universal studio.

The film focused on how Bridges and Reynolds try to stop ghosts of dead people who fail to enter the afterlife from starting the apocalypse.

But despite its steller cast and a reported production cost of USD 130 million, the film earned just USD 68 million at the box office. Bridges blames its poor performance on the final cut, reported the Huffington Post.

"I had such a great time working on that movie. I remember what we were doing. I thought: This could be fun to see. And when I saw it, I was a little underwhelmed. For my mind, the studio made some choices that I wouldn't have made," Bridges said in an interview to GQ magazine.

"I remember when someone pitched me the project, I couldn't quite grasp what they were talking about. Then I read the script and I had to keep going back a page or two and saying, 'Did I just read what I read?' It's so bizarre! I'm attracted to things that are bizarre. Those are the kind of things I like to watch," the actor said.
