Jennifer Hudson gets close crop haircut

"Empire" actress Jennifer Hudson has been embracing her new hairstyle, which is bold and buzzed.

"All black every thang!" Hudson, 33, captioned a glam shot of herself in Germany on August 14, featuring a monotone ensemble and her super-short hairstyle.

Then she added, "Who needs hair, when you serving face!"

The "American Idol" alum debuted her haircut at "A Sweet Evening With Jennifer Hudson," co-hosted by Michigan Avenue Magazine and Art Van Furniture at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago on July 30.
