Jewellery and cash worth over Rs 2 cr looted

Jewellery and cash worth over Rs 2 crore was looted from a showroom allegedly by six persons dressed in police uniform here, police said today.

The incident took place late last evening when six men, who drove a Tata Safari car, had come to the showroom on the pretext of checking safety measures, Superintendent of Police (City) Rajesh Kumar said.

Police were present at the location of the loot and the matter is being probed, he said.

Some vital clues have been obtained from the CCTV footage of showroom, the SP said.
