Jharkhand XI and Indian Army, Kolkata won their respective matches in the group stage of the ongoing second All India Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Football Tournament played at Moin-Ul-Haque stadium here today.
Jharkhand XI defeated hosts Bihar XI 3-0, while Indian Army, Kolkata blanked Rhino Football Club, Assam by an identical margin to virtually seal a berth in the quarterfinals.
Karan Roy drew first blood for Jharkhand XI in the 18th minute with a powerful 20-yard left-footer, while striker Moinudding Khand headed home in the 44th minute to extend the visitor's lead to 2-0.

Right-winger Ramesh Kujur struck the third goal for the winners in the 60th minute with a solo effort.
In another encounter, Laliawania struck twice in the 66th and 70th minute after Sandeep Roy put the Indian Army, Kolkata in the lead in the 60th minute to beat Rhino Football Club, Assam 3-0.
