The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today warned against "land grab" following the Central ordinance on Land Acquisition Act.
Addressing demonstration staged by the party near the Raj Bhavan here, JMM vice president Hemant Soren said the party would fight for the people from streets to legislatures to protect land, which is protected by Chhotanagpur Tenancy Act and Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act.
The former chief minister also objected to any change in the mineral act and asked why not find other modes of development without exploiting mineral resources.

"Any changes in these two acts will affect Jharkhand," claimed Soren.
He, however, said the party would allow industrialisation in the state only on the condition of 100 per cent recruitment of locals in class III and IV jobs.
"Also 50 per cent locals should be appointed in officer's grade," he added.
Several JMM leaders also demanded that the Raghubar Das government should formulate a domicile policy before the recruitment examination for the post of teachers and other government jobs.
Later, a party delegation led by Soren, met Governor Syed Ahmed and submitted a memorandum on JMM's demands.
