Comedian Joel McHale has donated all the proceedings from his show in North Carolina to Durham LGBT Centre.
The 44-year-old "Spider-Man 2" actor has joined many other notable names in protesting North Carolina's recently passed HB2 law, which prohibits local governments from enacting anti-discrimination measures, reported People magazine.
During his show at the Durham Performing Arts Centre on Friday, McHale wore a homemade LGBTQ T-shirt.

"Joel is vehemently opposed to HB2 and knows there are many in Durham (which recently passed a measure condemning the law) that share the feeling.
"He felt this was a good way to raise awareness and much needed funds for a local centre that is on the front line of this important cause," the actor's representative said in a statement.
In a video from the show, McHale calls the controversial law, "stupid and crazy".
Legendary singer Bruce Springsteen had also cancelled his Greensboro, North Carolina, concert in protest of HB2.
