Josh Gad to star in live-action film "Beauty and the Beast"

Actor Josh Gad will play the character of Lefou in the highly anticipated live-action film "Beauty and the Beast".

Lefou is the foolish town resident that follows villain Gaston's every command. Jesse Corti originally voiced the character in the 1991 Disney classic, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Gad, 34, now joins Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (Beast), and Luke Evans (Gaston) in the project.

He confirmed the news himself with a hilarious side-by-side comparison of him and Lefou via Twitter.
