Judicial custody of lawyer extended in murder case

The judicial custody of a lawyer, arrested in a murder case, has been extended till August 1, police said.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Suresh Chand Arya extended the accused Shahid's judicial custody till August 1 after he was produced in the court yesterday.

The accused Shahid was named in the murder case of Meerut-based lawyer Rajiv Updhayaya along with four other persons.

Rajiv was shot dead at Sujru village near here on June 11.
