Junior boxing champion among six arrested for murder

Deepak Patel was assaulted and stabbed to death in Nangloi area on Monday.

Six persons junior boxing champion Abhinav Verma (21), Manish (20), Deepak (21), Manoj (22), Rakesh Mukhi (21) and a minor were apprehended for the crime, DCP (Crime) Sanjay Kumar Jain said.

"Patel had tried to befriend the sister of one of the accused, which had resulted in an altercation on Saturday last. Next day, again the group had met Patel and a scuffle resulted in his death," Jain said.
