Three persons, including a 23-year-old youth and a juvenile, were arrested for allegedly murdering a man after he developed a relationship with the sister of the minor boy, police said today.
Bharat, his juvenile friend and Ajay Kumar Yadav, driver of a closed door van, were arrested from Najafgarh in west Delhi yesterday.
The half-burnt body of Chanjesh, who worked as a peon in a transport company situated at Shivaji Park in Punjabi Bagh, was found in Nagafgarh area on February 9.
After initial probe, police zeroed-in on Bharat who confessed to commit the murder with the help of one Bittu and Ajay for his juvenile friend.
"Bharat confessed to the police that the deceased had developed a relationship with the sister of his juvenile friend. One day the boy saw Chanjesh with his sister in a park and hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him," a senior police official said.
As per the plan, Bharat called his friend Bittu and Ajay and then invited Chanjesh to his house.
"After reaching there, they thrashed Chanjesh and strangulated him. Thereafter they transported the body to Raghubir Nagar area and dumped it," he said.
Bittu is yet to be arrested.
