The 'Joint Action Committee of Andhra Pradesh Kapu Nadu' today unanimously resolved to launch a statewide campaign against chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the reservation issue.
The Kapu community has been striving for its inclusion in notified Backward Classes to be able to get reservation in government jobs and educational institutions.
The JAC decided to start the campaign in predominant Kapu constituencies initially and later extend the protest to other areas in the state.
It has resolved to prepare the road map for the campaign within a week, said JAC honorary chairman and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham who is spearheading the Kapu reservation movement.
He was briefing reporters on the JAC's day long deliberations and consensus arrived at among delegates.
