Kashmiris protest against Israeli offensive in Palestine

Expressing their solidarity with the people of Gaza strip, Kashmiris today protested against Israel's offensive against the Palestinians that left more than 800 dead.

Anti-Israel protests were held at many places in the state after the Friday prayers, police said.

Shouting anti-Israel slogans, the protesters burned flags of the Jewish state protesting against Israeli aggression directed at unarmed Palestinian civilians, the police said.

While no one was hurt in the protests, incidents of stone pelting on security forces were reported from many places including Nowhata area in the city, Anantnag town, Pulwama, Kunzer, Pattan, Baramulla town and Kupwara, they said.
 

Separatists outfits including the Hurriyat Conference factions headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had called for protests against Israel after the Friday prayers.
