Kerala PWD Minister V K Ebrahim Kunju today denied reports that he complained to the Chief Minister against Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala over suspension of two officials.

However, Kunju said he had discussed the issue with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

"No complaint was launched by me (against the Home Minister)," the PWD Minister said when asked whether he had complained against Chennithala.

Kunju's statement comes in the wake of reports that two Ministers in Chandy's cabinet came out against the Kerala Home Minister over suspension of the officials which according to them amounts to interference in their departments.

Stating that he had already discussed the issue with the Chief Minister, Kunju said he did not view the development pertaining to suspension of officials as an extraordinary thing.

"It is not an extraordinary thing...I have already discussed about this with the Chief Minister," he said when asked whether there was any extra interference in the case.

It may be recalled that the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau under the Kerala Home Minister had registered a case and suspended two officials of the State Construction Board over corruption charges.
