Kerala gets heavy rains

Heavy rains occurred in several parts of Kerala and Lakshadweep today.

Piravom in Ernakulam district received 8 cm rains while Kunnamkulam in Thrissur received 7 cm, Haripad and Kayamkuma (Alapuzha) and Peermade (Idukki) received 5 cm each rains, IMD weather bulletin said.

Central and Southern parts of the state received copious rains.

Heavy Rainfall of 7-11 cm is expected in the next 24 hours in the state at one or two places till tomorrow morning.
