KPLT cadres fire on police in Assam

Karbi Peoples Liberation Tiger (KPLT) militants exchanged fire with the police in Assam's Karbi Anglong district today.

The two KPLT militants who fired at the police at Tarabasa were caught, Superintendent of Police M J Mahanta told PTI.

An under barrel grenade launcher and a bag containing cosmetics were seized from them.

Another two were caught by a joint army and police team during checking at Mentilla.

Two 7.65 pistols, two magazines and six rounds of ammuniton were seized from them.
