Kush Kumar sets himself up for double crown

Kumar, seeded on top of the heap in the lower age group, downed Cricket Club of India's Yohan Pandole in three straight games 11-5, 12-10, 11-4 in the under 17 semis, and is to meet second seed Madhav Dhingra of Otters Club, who outlasted Abhimanyu Shah of the host Bombay Gymkhana 13-11 12-10 12-10, in the final tomorrow.

Kumar, seeded second in the under-19 group, moved up to a contest against top seed Mahesh Mangaonkar, also of CCI, who was too good for another TN boy Deepak Mishra and earned a handsome 11-4, 11-3, 11-4 semi-final victory.

Boys U 15: Abhay Singh (TN) bt Yohaan Surti 13-11 11-6 5-11 9-11 11-4; 2-Aryaman Adik bt Siddhanth Iyer 6-11 11-9 5-11 11-6 14-12.
