L&T Capital Markets, a subsidiary of L&T Financial Services, today announced the launch of its wealth management services in Dubai.
The firm has been operating in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) as a representative office.
The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has now granted an upgrade to its existing licence from a representative office to a category 4 licence, whereby L&T Capital Markets' Dubai branch will be regulated by DFSA.

* Home appliance maker Godrej Appliances has launched 5-star inverter air-conditioners under its premium NXW range.
The company, which is aiming for 15 per cent market share in the premium 5-star inverter AC segment, claims it to be India's most energy efficient unit with ISEER of 5.2.
Indian Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (ISEER) is a new rating system introduced by Bureau of energy efficiency for inverter ACs.

Google adds pit stops, detours on Maps in navigation mode * Technology giant Google today said it will allow users of its Maps in India to add pit stops and detours while they are in navigation mode.
"With today's update on Google Maps for Android, you can now search for and add an extra stop to your route, without having to exit navigation mode in Google Maps," a statement said.
This ensures quicker pit stops and fewer long detours as users can search for places like gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores and more along their route on Google Maps, it added.

Union Bank of India raises Rs 1,000 cr via tier II bonds
* State-run Union Bank of India today said it has raised Rs 1,000 crore through Basel III-compliant tier II bonds on a private placement basis.
The coupon offered on the bond was 8 per cent, to be paid annually, the bank said in a statement here. The bonds are issued for a period of 10 years, with call option after 5 years and thereafter on all coupon payment dates.
