A labourer was electrocuted to death when he came in contact with a high-tension wire, police said today.
Mannuram, a native of Bihar, was working on the roof of a house here when he accidentally came in contact with the wire and sustained severe burn injuries, they said.
He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, police said.
The victim's acquaintance Dharmendra told police that Mannuram was working in the house of one Pulak Sinha who knew about the incident but still made no efforts to save his life.
A case was registered yesterday, police said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
