Mother monster is back in the spotlight but Lady Gaga reveals her hip injury was much worse than she originally let out.
Opening up about her injury, Gaga, who canceled her "Born This Way" tour six months ago, said she would have need a full hip replacement had she delayed the surgery, reported Women Wear Daily.
"Nobody knew, and I haven't even told my fans yet... I had broken my hip," Gaga said.

"Before I went to surgery there were giant craters, a hole in my hip the size of a quarter, and the cartilage was just hanging out the other side of my hip. I had a tear on the inside of my joint and a huge breakage. The surgeon told me that if I had done another show I might have needed a full hip replacement. I would have been out at least a year, maybe longer," she added.
The 27-year-old pop star, who recently teased the cover art of her upcoming single 'Applause', said her long recovery was difficult as she had never gone without performing for more than two weeks since she was "14 years old."
Gaga enjoyed this time to "beef up her brain and body".
"I was given the time to really be creative because it's a gazing process, it really is. I have to gaze into the work for a long time for it to be good.
