Pop star Lady Gaga's childhood piano has failed to sell at auction.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker's old instrument, which she used to write her first song on at the age of just five, was expected to sell for USD 100,000-200,000 when it went under the hammer at the Hard Rock Cafe New York on May 21, as part of Los Angeles-based auctioneers Julien's Auction's Music Icons memorabilia sale, reported Female First.

It, however, failed to meet the reserve price, the lowest amount a seller will accept for their lot, and didn't sell, though a spokesperson for the auction house wouldn't reveal the minimum it could have changed hands for.

It is not yet clear whether the instrument will sell.
