Lakshman Seth appears before court, next date of hearing Mar 3

Former CPI(M) strongman of Haldia Lakshman Seth today appeared before a court here in connection with the case in which nine persons were killed in firing near Nandigram on November 10, 2007.

Seth appeared before Tamluk Sub Divisional Court Judge Madhumanti Maitra who after hearing arguments set March three as the next date of hearing.

Seth, ex-Khejuri panchayat samity president Himanshu Roy, local leader Bijon Roy and CPI(M) district committee member Ashok Guria are among the accused in the case.
