Lal Thanhawla inaugurates Arogya Mela

In his inaugural speech, Lal Thanhawla said that Ayush or alternative therapies have played important roles in treatment of ailments including cancer, HIV/AIDS, malaria, diabetes and others.

He emphasised the need for change in the lifestyle among the people of Mizoram to ensure better health as the rampant use of tobacco and tobacco products caused serious health hazard for the society as a whole.

Mizoram Health minister Lalrinliana Sailo, who chaired the function stressed the need for streamlining allopathy and ayush for the overall health of the country.
