Land revenue dues realisation suspended in over 2,900 flood-

The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended realisation of land revenue dues in over 2,900 villages of the 22 flood-hit districts of the state till March 31 next year.

Principal Secretary (Revenue) and Relief Commissioner, Rajneesh Dubey today said, "The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended realisation of land related revenue dues till March 31, 2018 in 2,966 villages falling in 66 tehsils of 22 flood hit districts of the state."

Detailed orders in this regard have been issued, he said, adding the decision was taken due to the heavy losses suffered by farmers because of floods.

These 22 districts are, Gonda, Bahraich, Sharawati, Balrampur, Kheri, Sitapur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar and Deoria, Mahrajganj, Faizabad, Barabanki, Ambedkar Nagar, Pilibhit, Bijnore, Basti, Siddhartnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar and Farrukhabad, Dubey said.
