A local lawyer today said he has moved a court here seeking filing of a case against Rahul Gandhi for his remarks that Pakistani agencies were in touch with some riot victims in Muzaffarnagar.

The application, a copy of which is available with PTI, was moved by a lawyer Mohammad Anwar in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate.

The application will be taken up for hearing on October 28, Anwar said.

The lawyer, in his complaint, alleged that because of the statement by the Congress Vice President at an election rally in Indore, the Muslims of the country are being viewed with suspicion.

On October 24, Rahul Gandhi had claimed that intelligence agencies in Pakistan were approaching some victims of the Muzaffarnagar riots to lure them to terrorism.

Rahul had said he was told by an intelligence official that intelligence agencies of Pakistan had established contact with a group of 10-15 Muslim youngsters, who had lost their kin in the riots.
