Lawyer shot dead

A lawyer was shot dead by a

father-son duo in Civil Lines area here, police said today.

30-year-old Manmohan Verma was shot at by the accused, who are also lawyers, last evening when he was going to visit his relatives.

Verma was rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment.

Accused Mahipal Singh and his son Mukul alleged that Verma had first opened fire at them. They were also injured in the incident, police said.

Police is probing the matter.
