Laysla De Oliveira joins sci-fi thriller 'Code 8'

Laysla De Oliveira is set to co-star opposite Robbie and Stephen Amell in the sci-fi thriller "Code 8".

The film, to be directed by Jeff Chan, is currently in production, reported Deadline.

It is set in a world where 4 per cent of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities, known as "specials", who are impoverished and face discrimination, often resorting to crime.

De Oliveira will play Maddy, a scrappy and resourceful "special" who is part of the inner circle of thieves.
