Lead prices slipped 0.12 per cent to Rs 120.80 per kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April fell 15 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 120.80 per kg, in a business turnover of 46 lots.
On similar lines, the metal for delivery in current month also trading 10 paise, or 0.08 per cent lower, at Rs 120.30 per kg, in a business turnover of 701 lots.
According to analysts, low demand from battery-makers in the spot market, a weak trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange kept pressure on lead futures.
